“Graham Cracker Streusel”

Graham crackers…not just for s’mores anymore…

They’re sweet and crunchy and go with almost anything. What do you do if you have some left over from a party or they’re going stale? Turn them into something else. That’s what we do with almost everything in the industry.

This is perfect with yogurt, throw it on top of some fresh fruit, or better yet, top a sous vide cheese cake with it!

Ingredients:

4 oz Graham Crackers

2 oz Salted Butter

1 oz Granulated Sugar

Break your graham crackers into smaller pieces into the bowl of a food processor and pulse until you've got a fine and fairly even consistency. I say fairly because there will be some pieces that are a bit larger. That's a good thing as it gives it a more interesting texture.

Melt your butter and combine everything together evenly.

Spread the streusel mixture out evenly on a parchment-lined sheet tray.

Bake the mixture for 18 minutes, rotating the pan and stirring every 5 minutes, keeping the streusel spread out evenly. All of this ensures a nice, consistent bake. When done, let the streusel cool on the sheet tray until it comes to room temperature.
